How Under The Bridge Was Written By The Red Hot Chilli Peppers

The song under the bridge was written about lead singer Anthony Kiedis and his struggle with his heroin addiction. The song started off with just a simple poem that Kiedis wrote but his producer Rick Rubin found it in his notebook and told Kianis how good of a song it would be, it took a lot of convincing but he finally came around. He showed the band the song and all came up with the music together. He came up with most of the lyrics on the verse while driving back from a session of rehearsing with the band. In 1992, the song became a hit after performing it at Lollapalooza. The song is now known as one of or if not the most recognizable song by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. This song is a masterpiece and defines the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
